Ped stretches along the north-coast road, with restaurants, sea views, and accommodation. Check your hotel’s exact location: the area isn’t one compact walking centre.
Traffic advice for 4 to 7 October 2026: Made reported two separate fuel queues: one near Banjar Nyuh and another near the Pertamina station in Ped. Both can delay trips along the north-coast road. For a quiet stay away from these queues, choose Sakti or Crystal Bay and take the inland road for an east day. If you have a boat ticket, leave your accommodation at least two hours before the ticketed departure, or earlier from the east side. Leave time for check-in. Traffic conditions after 7 October 2026 are not confirmed by this report.

Choose Ped if you want north-coast food and services, snorkeling pickups, and separate east and west outings. Confirm how far your hotel is from the places you’ll use.
Check the hotel pin
Ask whether you can walk to dinner, how steep the access is, and whether your snorkeling operator collects from the hotel. Some properties are inland or beside a busy road.
East and west outings

Food and evenings
There are more dining choices than in many remote areas, but your hotel may still need a short ride to them. Ask about the actual walk after dark.
Snorkeling pickup
Ped can be convenient for north-coast reef trips and Toyapakeh departures. Confirm the actual meeting point; not every boat leaves from the nearest beach.
What to consider
Stays are spread out, road noise varies, and Crystal Bay sunset needs a transfer. Check the hotel pin and room setting before booking.

Confirmed on 4 October 2026 long queues at Pertamina in Ped as well as Banjar Nyuh. During the 4 to 7 October advisory, choose Sakti/Crystal Bay for a quieter stay away from the affected roads with drivers much easier to arrange. For a Banjar Nyuh boat back to Bali, leave accommodation at least two hours before the ticketed departure and earlier when required. The report does not establish conditions after 7 October.
