Start with your nights and outings

Choose how many nights to stay and which outings you want. 3D2N gives you one full day; 4D3N gives two. Each extra outing changes the budget.

Count the main costs

  • Boats to Penida and back.
  • Transfers to the Bali harbour and from your Penida harbour.
  • Accommodation for every night.
  • A private driver, scooter rental, or tour.
  • Snorkeling or other booked activities.

Send your dates, passenger count, luggage, and hotel pin when asking for quotes.

Daily spending

Add meals, drinks, entrance and parking fees, sarong rental, optional photos, and any extra transport. Carry small rupiah notes. See the fees guide and cash and card guide.

Add arrival and attraction tickets

Allow Rp75,000 per foreign adult for arrival plus visits to Kelingking and Crystal Bay: Rp25,000 for entering Penida and Rp25,000 for each attraction. Domestic tourists don’t pay the arrival levy, so those two attraction tickets total Rp50,000 per adult.

OGOD attraction tickets apply to domestic and foreign visitors. Children aged 4 to 13 pay Rp15,000 per attraction; foreign children in that age group also pay a Rp15,000 arrival levy. These rates were checked against Klungkung’s official tariff on 6 October 2026.

Ask which fees your package includes before adding them again. The tourist levy and attraction fees guide has the full breakdown.

Keep some spare money

Keep money aside for a changed boat, extra transfer, or another night if plans change. Store some reserve cash separately from your main wallet.

Compare what is included

Ask for the total and written inclusions. Check vehicle size, driver hours, fuel, parking, entrance fees, snorkeling equipment, hotel pickup, and cancellation terms. A cheaper headline price can leave more to pay later.

Use current rupiah prices

Compare quotes in rupiah for the same dates and inclusions. Your bank’s exchange rate and card fees can change the final cost in your home currency.

Get your quotes

Choose a stay area and itinerary, then request transport and activity quotes. Compare the totals before paying.

Questions

Nusa Penida Costs and Budget Planning: common questions

Is Penida more expensive than Bali? Answer

Boats and transfers add to the cost. Rooms and meals still come at many prices, so compare the whole trip.

Can I use old price lists? Answer

Use them as a rough guide, then ask for a current written quote.

Which cost is easy to forget? Answer

Transfers to and from both harbours. Count your Bali drive, boat and Penida pickup in both directions.

How much should I allow for arrival and attraction fees? Answer

A foreign adult pays Rp25,000 on arrival, plus Rp25,000 per OGOD attraction. Arrival, Kelingking, and Crystal Bay add up to Rp75,000 per person. Check which fees your tour already includes.
