Getting there and when to go
We used the sources below. We haven't recorded an on-site check, so ask locally about current access and facilities.
The tree house and the view
Rumah Pohon is a small tree house above the east-coast cliffs. The wider landscape, with rock formations and bright water below, is worth seeing even if you don’t want the posed photo.
Visit with Thousand Islands Viewpoint, then choose Diamond Beach or Atuh Beach. Keep the west coast for another day.
What the visit involves
Steps and uneven paths lead down from the parking and entrance area. Shade is limited, so carry water and remember the climb back.
If you want a tree-house photo, ask about the queue and charge before descending. You can also enjoy the wider viewpoints without joining the photo line.
When to visit
Start early for cooler weather and leave time for the drive. Two or three main stops are enough for an east-side day, especially if one includes beach stairs.
See the east day in the 5D4N itinerary and adjust the order with your driver.
Safety and comfort
Wear shoes with grip and stay back from exposed edges. Rain makes steps and soil slippery. Don’t climb on structures or cross marked boundaries for a photo.
Choose one beach descent
After Rumah Pohon and Thousand Islands Viewpoint, choose Diamond’s stairs or time at Atuh. If you’re staying on the west side, arrange an early pickup and leave enough time for the drive home.
