Driver, tour or scooter?
Why a driver makes a first visit easier
You won’t have to navigate, park or keep riding between stops. A driver is especially useful with bags, children or anyone who needs a slower pace.
Agree the pickup, vehicle, hours, stops, finish point and extra charges in writing. See the private driver checklist.
When to skip the scooter
Skip the scooter if you’re unsure on steep or uneven roads, carrying suitcases or taking a child. Don’t learn to ride here.
If you already ride confidently, check the brakes, tires, helmets and lights before accepting the bike. Carry the licence and documents required for your rental. Leave enough time to return before dark, and stop if rain or fatigue makes the ride uncomfortable.
Choose one side of the island per day
Visit Kelingking, Broken Beach and Angel’s Billabong on a west day. Give Diamond, Atuh and Thousand Islands a separate east day. Snorkeling is another outing.
4D3N gives you two full days; 5D4N gives you three. Choose a hotel area that won’t send you across the island every morning.
Arrange the harbour pickup
Send your driver the harbour printed on your ticket and the exact meeting pin. Save your hotel location offline.
On your last day, go to the harbour with time for check-in. If the day runs late, drop a stop. Don’t risk your boat for one more photo.
