Cliffs first, then time by the beach

Choose this route if you want Kelingking’s headland, the rock arch at Broken Beach and a quieter finish at Crystal Bay. Your driver takes you between the stops, so you can spend the day looking at the coast rather than finding unfamiliar roads.

The beach stop is the main difference from our West Coast Icons Tour, which replaces Crystal Bay with Paluang Cliff. Tell Made whether you want time on the sand, photographs from the viewpoints, or a shorter day with fewer walks.

Your tour rundown

This is the planned sequence. Made confirms pickup, the available driver time and the final order before payment. Traffic, weather or a closed access point can change the day.

  1. Meet your driver. Agree on your hotel or harbour pickup, passenger count, luggage and return point. Send the location pin as well as the place name.
  2. Kelingking Beach viewpoint. See the headland and beach from above. Keep back from the edge. A descent is a separate decision that needs enough time for the climb back.
  3. Angel’s Billabong. Watch the rock pool from the marked safe area. Don’t enter the pool; waves can wash over the rocks.
  4. Broken Beach. Walk to the coastal viewpoints around the natural arch. Follow marked paths and leave time for the walk back to the car.
  5. Crystal Bay. Spend the agreed time on the sand or in the shade. Ask locally about the waves and current before entering the water.
  6. Return to your agreed drop-off. Tell Made beforehand if you need to catch a boat. Departure time and harbour check-in take priority over adding another stop.

Keep the beach descent optional

A viewpoint visit at Kelingking is much easier to fit into a multi-stop day. The beach trail is steep and the return climb is tiring. If going down is your main reason for booking, ask Made to reduce the route and confirm the time with the driver.

At Angel’s Billabong, stay in the marked safe viewing area. At Broken Beach, enjoy the arch from the coastal paths. You don’t need to enter the water to enjoy either stop.

Beach time and getting home

Tell Made how long you want at Crystal Bay. Sunset is not automatically included in the driver’s agreed hours. If you want to stay late, confirm the waiting time and return arrangement before paying.

Made Surya reported the unlit uphill road on 6 October 2026. Around 7 pm, a scooter ride uphill can be dangerous if you don’t know the road. Arrange a waiting driver for an evening visit, or stay below the hill where you can walk back.

What to bring

  • Wear shoes with grip for the viewpoint paths.
  • Bring water, sun protection and rupiah for attraction tickets and personal purchases.
  • Pack a towel if you plan to spend time on the beach.
  • Tell Made about walking limits, children, luggage and any boat connection before booking.

Questions

West Coast & Crystal Bay Tour: Route, Price and Rundown: common questions

How is this different from West Coast Icons? Answer

This route includes Crystal Bay. West Coast Icons visits Paluang Cliff instead, with more time focused on viewpoints.

Does the tour include the Kelingking beach descent? Answer

Confirm it before booking. The descent and climb back need much more time and effort than a viewpoint stop. Choose fewer stops if the beach is your priority.
