A forest stop between the cliffs

Choose this tour if you want a different west-side day: Kelingking’s headland, the wooded approach to Tembeling and the coastal view at Banah Cliff. Tembeling adds walking and a change of scenery between the cliff stops.

This route does not include Broken Beach, Angel’s Billabong or Crystal Bay. Compare it with West Coast & Crystal Bay if beach relaxation after the main west sights is your priority.

Your tour rundown

Made confirms the pickup, driver time and final order before payment. The Tembeling approach needs its own access check; don’t assume that the car fare includes a local transfer to the coast.

  1. Meet your driver. Confirm your pickup pin, passenger count, luggage and the agreed return point.
  2. Kelingking viewpoint. Enjoy the headland from above. Discuss any beach descent before booking, because it takes time from the other stops.
  3. Tembeling Forest and coast. Reach the car’s drop-off above the final approach. Follow the confirmed walking or local-transfer arrangement into the forest and towards the beach.
  4. Return to the car. Leave time and energy for the journey back up. Follow local rules around the natural pools and ask about current access before entering.
  5. Banah Cliff. Stop for the coastal view. Keep back from the edge and ask your driver which walking area to use.
  6. Finish at your agreed drop-off. Return to the hotel or harbour confirmed with Made. Tell him about a boat connection before booking.

Check Tembeling’s final approach

Ask Made where the car stops, how you’ll reach the forest and coast, and whether a local transfer is available on your date. Confirm any separate cost and whether the arrangement works for everyone’s walking ability.

Tembeling is not a car-to-sand stop. Shoes with grip and a light bag make the walk more comfortable. Keep water for the climb back rather than carrying it all the way down and finishing it at the coast.

The beach and pools are different places. Follow the local rules for each pool and ask about the water before entering. Don’t treat the sea beside the forest as an automatic swimming stop.

Keep the cliff stops comfortable

At Kelingking, the viewpoint fits this route more easily than a beach descent. Tell Made if you want to change that emphasis.

Banah is the final planned cliff stop. Enjoy the view without walking close to the edge. Sunset waiting is not automatically included; confirm it with Made if that is the reason you want the stop.

What to bring

Bring shoes with grip, water, sun protection and rupiah for attraction tickets or a separately confirmed local transfer. A towel is useful if you plan to enter a permitted natural pool after checking locally.

Send Made any walking limits before booking. A shorter route or a viewpoint-focused tour may be a better choice than committing the whole group to Tembeling’s final approach.
